Membership Agreement and Waiver
MEMBER AGREEMENT
In consideration of the acceptance of my application for membership in the American Natural Bodybuilding Federation (ANBF), I agree to comply with all ANBF rules, bylaws, policies, procedures, drug-testing standards, eligibility requirements, and standards of conduct, as amended from time to time.
I understand that participation in ANBF-sanctioned events is conditioned on compliance with ANBF drug-free competition rules and eligibility standards. I acknowledge that I may be required to complete one or more screening or testing procedures, including but not limited to polygraph examination, urinalysis, VAST screening, computerized or AI-assisted screening questionnaires, supplemental documentation review, follow-up questioning, laboratory confirmation testing, or any other screening method approved or required by the ANBF.
I understand that ANBF may use screening and testing results, disclosures, documentation, conduct, refusal to cooperate, failure to complete required testing, failure to pay for required confirmation testing, or failure to comply with ANBF procedures when determining membership standing, contest eligibility, disqualification, suspension, forfeiture of awards or placements, or other disciplinary action.
I agree to respect and abide by ANBF decisions regarding my eligibility to participate in sanctioned contests. I understand that failure to pass required testing, refusal to complete required screening or confirmation procedures, failure to cooperate with ANBF officials or testing providers, or violation of ANBF rules may result in removal from competition, loss of eligibility, suspension, forfeiture of awards or placements, and/or a seven-year ban from ANBF eligibility.
WAIVER, RELEASE, AND HOLD HARMLESS AGREEMENT
By submitting this agreement, I agree to release, indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the ANBF, its owners, shareholders, officers, directors, officials, representatives, promoters, event staff, employees, contractors, agents, testing providers, affiliates, successors, assigns, and attorneys from and against any and all claims, demands, actions, liabilities, losses, damages, costs, expenses, penalties, punitive awards, and attorney fees arising out of or related to my membership, application, eligibility review, drug testing, screening, participation in ANBF events, disqualification, suspension, denial of eligibility, or any action taken by or on behalf of the ANBF.
This release applies to claims whether known or unknown, anticipated or unanticipated, and includes claims arising from ANBF eligibility decisions, testing procedures, screening procedures, event participation, administrative review, publication or correction of results, enforcement of ANBF rules, or disciplinary action, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
I understand and agree that participation in ANBF events is a privilege and remains subject to ANBF approval. ANBF reserves the right to approve, deny, suspend, revoke, restrict, or terminate membership privileges or contest eligibility at any time when ANBF determines that an athlete has failed to comply with ANBF rules, drug-testing requirements, eligibility standards, documentation requirements, payment requirements, or standards of conduct.
This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to this agreement, ANBF membership, ANBF eligibility, ANBF testing, ANBF screening, or ANBF-sanctioned participation shall be brought in the courts located in or serving Forsyth County, North Carolina, unless the ANBF elects another legally proper forum.
If any provision of this agreement is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. This agreement is non-transferable and may not be assigned without the express written consent of the ANBF.
